My 75 year old father, born in the ozarks, just found out that his very unusual name, emanuel stance, was a medal of honor winning buffalo soldier. We cannot imagine where his mother would have heard this name but from a song. I've done an hour or two of searching and it does not seem to be the title of a song, but maybe it will trigger someone's memory. thanks
