I would love to find out how to get hold of the Tolpuddle tape. Can any one tell me how? I like the following song about the martyrs: Song of Liberty Written by George Loveless (One of the 5 Tolpuddle Martyrs) on a piece of paper immediately after he was sentenced to transportation, March 19, 1834. It was not new but he made it popular. God is our guide, from field, from wave, From plough, from anvil, and from loom; We come our country's rights to save, And speak a tyrant faction's doom: We raise the watchword liberty: We will, we will, we will be free!!! God is our guide no sword we draw. We kindle not wars battle fires: By reason, union, justice, law, We claim the birthright of our sires: We raise the watchword liberty: We will, we will, we will be free!!!
