Singing "Dixie" compares to singing "Home Sweet Home" for those of us living south of the Mason-Dixon line in the U.S.A. It's nostalgia for the place one grew up, nothing more. Somehow that makes me racist?! If "Dixie" is racist "Oklahoma" is racist because it extols a place to which American Indians were deported after having endured multiple atrocities.
