If you get a chance, have a listen to Les and Jack Rice: mouth organ, anglo concertina, a bit of piano accordion and step dancing. They were from Chagford (on eastern side of the Moor), and are grandfather and great uncle to Jason Rice, of Moor Music and the current Pixie Band line-up.

In my opinion, Les Rice's mouth organ playing is some of the most outstanding ever recorded! I suspect (but am not sure) that his ability to play tune and accompaniment at the same time, may have something to do with not having all his teeth.

There's a CD of the Rice family available from Veteran Records.
