Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but seeing as I've found a few lyrical goodies here already, I thought I'd cast my net here (pun unintended). I'm actually looking for two lyrics, namely the abovementioned - Average Kinda Guy by Dr. John (lyrics by Doc Pomus I think) from the album "Brightest Smile In Town. I used to have that record on vinyl, but someone borrowed it about twelve years back, and now I'm stuck in trying to recapture those wistfully funny lyrics.
AND, if it's possible please, does anyone have the lyrics to "Oakey Strike Eviction" by Jack The Lad? That record I DO have, but I'm blest if I'm able to decipher anything much of that Geordie stuff. A fiend of mine claims to have met the Geordie Mafia by the way. -The made him an offer he couldn't understand....
