I was in an elevator between the 25th and 26th floor of a downtown office building with the prospect of being trapped for several days without food, water, or ventilation, and then having to walk 20 miles home in the sweltering heat. Fortunately, this was in Denver where the power was not interrupted at all and everything worked fine.
