Where did Greg learn to read? I don't think I saw any whining posted here on in news stories.   Stop being such a pessimist Greg. You look at the glass and not only do you say it is half empty but you also complain it was dirty too! Sure there was some tragedy and hardship, but we took it in stride. Life goes on. For many in NYC it was a party.   I am sure, as was the case in the two previous blackouts, we will be hearing about a population explosion nine months from now.

I was at work and our building has an emergency generator. The lights flickered, or pulsated, for about 10 seconds before the generator kicked on. It reminded me of the old gangster movie where the lights dim when someone gets the electric chair.
