I think he's still around but don't know for sure. He and Jack Elliot really brought folk music to the UK in the late 50's, early 60's and made some excellent records too. I think they had a large and lasting influence on the current folk scene. To your last question - yes, lots of those voices you hearing on the Library of Congress recordings. Dr John
