What you said about your voice set me thinking about somethging I was reading toiday about the Alexander technique - how the fella who worked it out got into doing so because he kept on losing his voice, which for an actor is as bad as it is for a singer. It might be worth looking into it, if you haven't already. I know a lot of musicians swear by the system (for example fiddler Tom McConville).
