Rural north central Florida, USA -- near Gainesville (University town) Warm, friendly, folky -- there are several artist colony type communities (Cross Creek and Micanopy to name a couple). Reasonable housing cost for Florida because it's not within ten miles of the coast (where 90% of our population lives). Truly the paradise part of the Sunshine State....
