This year's listIS terribly skewed towards the large metropolitan areas.

For myself, I might use it as a reference to find good small towns between big places; they have forgotten almost 400 miles of Northern California/Southern Oregon coastline and the best parts of Maine, Arizona, Washington and Idaho.

In the past they have included the smaller towns of Colorado.

Having crunched some of my favorite cities through...and knowing some of their past reports...this one was skewed towards the job-markets.
