GUEST, TV really does taint the thinking of many people in odd ways. When I lived in Rio de Janeiro, some of the people I met there very much beleived that while we, in the USA, had all of the thousands of murders in the streets of THE NAKED CITY, we also had the cowboys and Indians, claim jumpers and saddle tramps of BONANZA.

By the way I read recently that a typical police detective in New York City might quite possibly retire without ever having fired his weapon at anything other than a paper target. That certainly differs from what we see on television, right?

In fairness, I should tell you that I saw a feature on TV about pickpockets in London. It most certainly effected my deportment while I was there recently. Strangely enough, not a single pickpocket accosted me during my entire visit!
