Revival singers often modify rhythms, so what they do isn't necessarily a reliable guide to the way the songs were sung in tradition. Martin Carthy sings an arrangement of the set of Judges and Juries that W. P. Merrick noted, in 3/4, from Henry Hills down at Shepperton in 1900 (with some text added). It may be that only a small shift of emphasis is or was required to bring it into 5/4, of course; my knowledge of musical theory doesn't run that far.
