How about Sovay, Sovay (The Female Highwayman). I think A L Lloyd quoted the theory that these were originally 6/8 songs that people tried to fit to 4/4 tunes. Not sure I'm quoting that exactly right but it's an interesting theory.

I think Lancashire Hornpipes that are in 3/2 are even more interesting.
