Dear Peter, this is an excellent site on Eduardo Falu : http://home.coqui.net/mallory/eduardo.htm

You'll find details of his recent CDs, performances, biography, and comments about his works with academic musicians like Camerata Bariloche.

(By the way, if you like classic chamber music, the Camerata is higly recommendable, at the quality level of the Zagreb Soloists or I Musici) I think this kind of europeanized folk is what you are looking for. It is no less argentine than any native classic, but it is far more rich than simple folk. (I know, this is questionable, but I mean that these are argentine academic musicians making classic music with folk roots)

You can find some interesting info by searching "folklore argentino" using the Excite search engine. Since almost all sites are in Spanish, please feel free to ask me for any translation you or other MudCatters may need. Best regards escamillo@ciudad.com.ar
