I'd LOVE to join a song circle, if someone would lend me a guitar, and to meet you and other Mudcatters. We arrive, Portland, Aug. 17 and depart Aug. 31. We want to see the sights and do some day hiking, and we will spend four or five days in Eugene, with our friends there.

We are thinking of relocating to Oregon, maybe Eugene. We are getting real tired of the rat race in NYC. Does anybody know about the job market for Programmers/Systems Analysts and for Dance Therapists in Oregon? I've heard it's good to live in Washington (no income tax) and shop in Oregon (no sales tax). Is that true?

I don't want to impose, but it would be real nice to stay overnight with some of my Mudcat friends, while we are there. I know I'm a stranger, and I don't want anybody to feel awkward.
