When I get in the annual Christian Aid envelope collection I have to fill in a tear-off strip with my name and which streets I am doing. I am only legally allowed to collect in these streets. I have to take this with me when I go out, in case anyone queries what I'm doing. Not that anyone does, as I live in a village and a lot of people know me. I choose which night(s) I can best get out on during that week, and sometimes need to return to one or two houses as often people are out or I have to jack it in before I have done all of the road.
Apart from the hassle of probably having to notify the local authority of when I am going to be out, the main organiser of the collection in our parish lives under a different authority from me!
