it has been said that, centuries ago, the current western system of astrology possessed not twelve, but thirteen, signs   of    the zodiac. That thirteenth sign was a Spider Woman. The dates? It was placed between the signs of Libra and Scorpio; that cusp falls on October 23rd (my birthday) which places it    very near Hallowe'en.
