Thread Name: Origins: Back against the Wall
Subject: Origins: Back against the Wall
Hello, I'm new to this forum and it looks like a great resource. I am looking for the authors of two different blues songs: the first one is an up-tempo number called
"Back Against the Wall" and the beginning lyrics are:
Got my fingers crossed baby well I'm hoping for the best (repeat) Man, I'm gambling all my future my livelyhood and all the rest
I've got my back against the wall I've got to gamble for my bread (repeat) soon my troubles will be over and I can ease my weary head
The second song author that I'm looking for wrote this song called "Messin Round" I got it from a chess various artist cd but it might have been a bootleg because there is no performer or writer credits listed anywhere on the cd or cover!! here's some of the lyrics to
"Messin Round"
I'm gonna cut you if you stand Shoot you if you run You've been messin with my woman And I hope you had your fun Messin round You shouldn't do your messin round You've been messin with my love And the word's all over town
any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks David
