Here, the only ones who can apply a "boot" are police officers, and the only time they apply the boot is when someone is a blatent scofflaw. You must have a stack of unpaid parking tickets for them to bother. Street parking is a problem in some areas, but we have many 5 story parking garages where you can park all day for a very reasonable fee.
