I have nothing against youth led programmes in folk, but especially in the UK I find that so many people of my age (37ish) want to learn but are stuck between people who have spent most of their lives in folk and, well, small children. It's very intimidating.

No disrespect to the organisers of Ethno England but it does seem that once you hit 26 you're on your own and that's not just the folk circles that do it.

Do you think that there is any chance of someone organisingan event that actively includes those who are a bit clueless and over 25?
