Kat, I hope your daughter has a doctor who doesn't insist she lie on her back to deliver. That is the worst position because it presents all sorts of extra obstacles. If you don't have your legs and hips stretched out in a prone position, you're much less likely to get the "hips too small" hyperbole. Sitting or squatting you can push more effectively, and it's a helluva lot quicker.
