I grew up with Chinese checkers (why is it called that when one uses marbles?) being my fav. because that's what my grandma played with me, that and Tiddley Winks. When I was old enough I learned how to play Canasta and that has been a perennial fav. in my family for years.

I also love Monopoly (me, too, Amergin!)and Clue.

In the dark ages we had a TRS80 on which we all played a game called Pyramid (I think). No graphics of any sort. One had to really use their brain, following the clues, get the treasures, etc. It was a blast, the kids loved it.

We also used to play Gin Rummy and while I can't remember how now, I remember we had some great times with it.

Another favourite now is Balderdash when there are enough of us to play!
