"High Plains Drifter" springs to mind as a weird, trippy movie. I always loved it purely as a western, but had to watch it several times to really get my head round it as it took several cliches and gave them a wicked twist, including Clint Eastwood´s amoral hero/anti-hero character. Speaking of Clint;the one where he plays a union soldier holed up in a southern girl´s school ( where he manages to shag more than one of them, even with only one leg) also stays in my mind as a weird movie. I remember seeing it for the first time on channel four when they had the red triangle movies ( remember those?). though the name completely escapes me now.
