Allison, my heart goes out to you. Let yourself be taken care of by those good friends where you are, and by all the good souls in this strange and wonderful Mudcat community.

At some point, you might find some comfort in this story of what I experienced when someone I loved passed on unexpectedly. It's not a prescription or a proclamation, just a story, but it's apparently helped some people in difficult times -- it certainly helped me.
