What the hell does that mean, exactly?

Am I finding what I'm looking for? Maybe yes, maybe no, if I'm obviously wandering aimlessly about, then I'm probably not finding it.

Do I find the conditions in the establishment to be suitable? Hmm. Half the time I go into a department at a department store and there ain't anyone there to help me. Once when I was trying to pay for a hat, I went to three registers, to find No One. I went to Fine Jewelry and they said they could only ring up Fine Jewelry, but anyone else could help me. But I can't find anyone else, I said.

I surely didn't find that okay. But I did eventually get to pay for my hat.
