OK, due to popular demand in the Mudchat, here is the recipe for the chocolate orange pudding.
Some tips - a mandarin is a small, sweet orange that has a loose skin. Satsumas would be just as good. Use a bitter, dark chocolate.
450grams dark chocolate 4 egg yolks 1/2 cup raisins (I soaked mine in rum but you don't have to) 2-3 mandarins 200ml creme fraiche (French soured cream - mascapone cheese might do instead) 50grams dark chocolate for decorations.
Peel the mandarins. Remove all the pith from both fruit and skin. Slice the skins really thinly. Melt chocolate, stir in egg yolks one at a time. Add the creme fraiche, raisins and peel. Mix it well until creamy.
Grease a small loaf tin or any mould and line with clingfilm (Gladwrap). Pour mix into mould and leave in fridge to set.
Meanwhile, melt the other 50grams of chocolate and use it to coat the mandarin slices. Leave these on skewers or a wire rack to set.
When solid, turn loaf out onto serving plate and decorate with chocolate mandarin slices and more sliced peel. Leave out for about 20 mins before serving, to make it easier to slice. Serve in thin slices with the mandarins.
It's just called 'chocolate orange slices' and a little goes a very long way!
