There once was a mensch from Old Philly
He wrote songs, oh so sharp and so silly
With his pedigree sound, the 'cat he hung round
He kibitzed! he brissed! He was mitzvahed!

His scholarly tomes, guided mothers in homes   
He warned against germs and rope blisters!

Then he took up the uke
To forget small kids' puke
And we lost him
