I was thinking it was the English slang for baronet, as in Gilbert and Sullivan's "Ruddigore" "Whem I'm a bad bart I will tell tarradiddles." The singer is about to become one of the bad baronets of Ruddigore. I don't think that's what you'd put in your wagon, however.
