While we have had a lot of threads on the Blues, we don't seem to have one dedicated to favourite blues licks that people may have, and would share. One thing I notice is that people seem to categorize them (apart from Turnarounds) by the person -- Muddy Waters licks, Elmore James, etc. Rick F. has taught me some simple ones in open D and open G tunings. For instance in open D, first string, 7th fret and second string, 9th fret; then move those up to the first string, 10th fret and second string 12th fret. Or first string, 7th fret, and second string 8th fret, over and over. These are so simple even I can do them!!
