Julie,

Great to hear from you! I'm sorry it's been so rough. Some of us know what that's like from our own experience.

There are some good options for staying in touch. The main thing is, it's up to you and you just need to say what would be helpful, and what would not. Usually, personal contact info has been handled via PM-- you'd choose someone to screen requestors and pass on your snail address/phone when it's approriate. Some people just like to get cards or notes, not calls. Some Mudcatters send music or audio books or other endurance helps. Or, in more than one case I know of, threads have been printed and snail-mailed and/or read over the phone, so that posts from the person's wellbeing thread (and any others they were particularly following) can be passed along.

You can choose how much contact you want-- and you can let your contact person know when it is OK to repeat or post what you have shared, whether you want prayer and/or good thoughts from the community, and to what extent you want your contact person to check with you first or to trust their own judgment. I do that for Mudcatter Giac, and I'd be glad to do it for you, as well.

Whatever you choose, there is a lot of care and concern for you here, and if just knowing that is all you need for now, that's OK too. You don't have to take care of us, here.... it's for you, not for us, OK?

Keep [action of your choice]-ing, dear Eagle.
