I have often heard it said, when the student is ready, the teacher will appear. When I first started playing the fiddle, Mister and I were at a historic site for a Christmas program. There was a fiddle player there and I went to ask him some questions. This in itself was a small miracle, because I don't like to approach strangers and introduce myself. But this time I did.

He apologized for not having any business cards on him, but said if I'd call his shop, he'd give me the number of a teacher. I did, and he did.

She has been my teacher now for five years. :)
