Well, after getting quite happily lost at that site Q provided, I spent some time with the MIDI for this song. I suspect it MAY have been built out of the musical phrases of a couple of other tunes. If not, there is a definite relationship between this song and at least two other well-known pieces of gospelry.

First, if you slow the MIDI down to about 50% speed, it's about the pace the song has on the CD. Once you do that, you can pick out distinct passages that are Dvorak's familiar Largo (New World Symphony) (also used for the gospel piece, "Goin' Home"). Other passages are parts of "Revive Us Again." That leaves about a third of the song-- the response in the call-response pattern-- unaccounted for.

But if Elderkin (what a name, Elder Kin!) built his arrangement from parts of existing tunes, that would explain a lot, including the lack of composer attribution. (And Elderkin would get the royalties.)
