Never heard of "Devil's Night" until I lived in NE Ohio and they reported the Detroit news. I've never heard of it celebrated elsewhere, either, although there are a lot of odd things in Western PA and the Old Northwest.

Could it have originated in Eastern Europe or the Balkans?
