Thread Name: Lyr Req: As Long as I Have Music (Don Besig)
Subject: Lyr Req: As long as I have music - Don Besig
Anybody have the words for this?
I've just heard it sang by a combined ladies choir. One of thoses which easily releases the emotions.
"What a celebration ......., Don Besig, renowned director, composer of hundreds of anthems, and adjudicator for school auditions and competitions,"
Besig travels the United States presenting workshops for teachers, choir directors, and choir members. He will direct three of his anthems for a combined choir of 50 or more. Organist for these anthems will be Nancy Harp, organist at Liverpool UMC, and also accompanying on flute will be Joy Bufano of Clay. Bufano is a music teacher and a masters-degree flutist from Syracuse University.
Many area churches perform anthems that Don and Nancy Price have collaborated on. The anthems are suited for small church volunteer choirs. The Bowen's Corners Choir has attended Besig's annual workshops in Fairport (his home church) for the past two years.
