I also trashed "Georgia on My Mind" in Hoagy's honour! No song is too good to survive my Guitarator ("This Guitar Sets Back Music!!).
I recall that Pete Seeger tells the stoy about adapting the song in his Incomplet Folksinger book. I don't remember him claiming that is was all his original stuff.
