Well, folks, when I was much younger I had the honour of doing some singing in the McCarthy Campaign. I had the privilege of living and working in the United States for four or five years, and I love the place. I eventually got to visit about thirty States in the years I was there, and you have got to keep that country safe from its enemies: in this case, it's your government. I think Washington is in the process of being hijacked, and I think that one of the better democracies that ever existed is in danger. I am not an anti-American Canadian. I have too many friends in your country--individuals I've come to know as people--to dislike Americans. Wilco stated something that vaguely resembles a philosophical position. He likes the Republicans. That's all he said, really. I still don't know what the heck he's talking about. Let's you know who voted for Bush, though. And it lets the rest of you know you have a hard road ahead if you want to change your government. Luck to you.
