Kendall, That's wonderful. That's very similiar to something I was told back in Chicago in 1964 by my little old Jewish landlord. He wanted to explain the difference between Democrats and Republicans and he told me when the Republicans are in power they steal everything and keep it all for themselves. When the Democrats are in power, they steal everything but spread it around so that everyone gets a little.
He was talking about Chicago and Illinois but I'm sure he felt that way about the national parties too.
