We have just taken in a baby magpie who was terrorizing the little town near us. He (I think it's he but you can't tell with young magpies)was running after people and shrieking for food. He was just bones and feathers and he ate steadily for three days. Our friend the bird lady called him Godzilla. He has settled down to become a sweet and gentle pet but he will join the wild maggies within about six months. We are foster parents during Spring and Summer.
