Even if you don't like headbanging music, if you ever taught guitar, more than likely, you had students who wanted to learn to play it, for the simple reason that the kids who like headbanging music are in the right age range for guitar lessons(and generally, their parents are desperate to find *something* that their kid is interested in doing)--

I am sure there are some of you who told those kids and their parents what to do with their money-- but most of us couldn't afford to be choosy, so we sat down and figured out how to teach power chords and all the rest of the stuff--It has it's moments too--there is nothing more wonderful than to the sparkle of joy in the eyes of a boy who has just played "Smoke on the Water" for the very first time.
