I've been trying very hard not to notice this thread. Whereas speed camera housings used to be inconspicuous to keep drivers guessing along a whole route, they are now generally yellow so drivers can spot them easily, and used at sites or routes with accident records, with advance signing so drivers will know there is a speed camera. Cameras are used at motorway road works because members of the workforce have unfortunately been killed by speeding drivers.

Good to know that even dummy camera housings have their uses if they wake up sleeping drivers like Skipjack.
