Hi, my name is Les (from England) I learned these words to 'The Cobbler' song way back in the 50s and have sang them many, many times over the years. I didn't know there were so many people interested in yodelling until I came upon your page. Just in case anyone is interested, I have typed in the words. I sure hope someone can come up with a recording of it. If I remember rightly, I think it was recorded by Harry Wulson. I hope someone, somewhere can use and enjoy the song as much as I have. Thanks for listening

THE COBBLER
I started my life as a cobbler Working from morning till night To earn a good honest living I've struggled hard all my life Now the years when I was single I wish that I had been wed So a nice little widow some morning Would bring up my breakfast to bed
With a twi ey ti iddle ey and a whack fal ey doodle ey ay With a whack fal ey doodle ey addie With a whack fal ey doodle ey ay
Yodel
Well I think I will put up my shutters cos the business is getting quite dull I can't make enough for tobacco - It's driving me up the pole So to all of those Government skivvies and the people that tax you so well If I had my own way with the blighters I'd drop 'em right down in the well
With a twi ey ti iddle ey and a whack fal ey doodle ey ay With me last and me tacks and me hammer I'd yodel my worries away
