Subject: RE: Tech: Recommended beginner fiddle bows?
The best bow I've ever owned is a Coda Conservatory (their mid-range); I doubt if I will ever need a better one. For learners (not just beginners), the Aspire is very good; it will be years before you need to upgrade. Not all players get on with carbon/graphite bows, and there is a certain amount of snobbery involved sometimes, too; but you would need to be very lucky to get an equivalent wood bow at anything near the price. They don't warp, crack or split, and the sticks have a lifetime guarantee.
