My feeling is that Vain is, like, only a stones throw from Blind River, eh? Maybe "Vain" is, like, a secret name for Blind River, sorta like a soul name. Beauty, eh? Then again, Vain could be an alternate name for Wawa, and God knows, Wawa is seriously in need of an alternate name...almost anything would do!

Then there are Moosejaw, Moosenee, Capuscasing and Pickle Lake...
