There is nothing you are saying today that wasn't said in the 50's under Ike, in the late 60's under Tricky Dicky, in the 80's under the "Great Communicator" and his successor, George I. They were at least as right wing as GWB, and we survived them all. I have tolerated the conservative bent in our national elections for an embarassingly long time and I can assure you that this, too, shall pass and we will live to be frightened by the next political hack on the horizon.
