LOL, thank you my dear friends. It's fun to share such joy, isn't it?
I think we are MOST fortunate that the wee bairn is okay as they did not have to tie off the umbilical cord. He, himself, had already tied it in a "true" knot while twirling around in the womb. Fortunately it was slack enough that it did not cut-off his vital supplies of air, blood, and nutrients. This was a babe who really needed to be delivered asap!
The next 72 hours are critical for Rue as she is still preeclampsic, but they've just started her on magnesium sulphate and I've read at www.preeclampsia.org that it literally saves mothers' lives. She has not had any seizures, but the BP is still too high. I believe this will gradually ease off.
The silly gyrl, she said she'll be happy when we get up there. I thought she meant because of being in hospital and such, but no, she's worried about her cat and wants us to sleep with her, the cat that is!**BG** Is she my daughter or what?!
Mother, father, god of my heart, I give thanks for this day and for the safe delivery of our babe and the health and safety of our Rue. I give thanks for their continued well-being. I give thanks for this or something better, for the highest good of all concerned. So mote it be!
