If I were in government I would make telemarketing illegal. Right now. All of it. It is rendering the telephone into a useless device of harassment. It's invasion of people's privacy without their consent, and should be treated as such.

The pity of it is that a society exists where people are driven to do stuff this useless just to scrape up a few lousy bucks, when there are a tremendous number of badly needed things NOT being done, because they don't yield some major @sshole somewhere a big profit!!!
