given the "methi" - I've searched quite a few glossaries and cannot find any of the above words - I *did* find quite a few ingredients in languages where "methi"= fenugreek that the words could be corruptions of (Did this list come from a printed source or verbally or what?)

for example - I could see 'karela' (bitter gourd) being heard as 'krala'
