I think it's great that Ted has finally been given the recognition he deserves. No one who has had dealings with Ted could begrudge him this honour.
I was at his penultimate concert in Perth a couple of weeks ago where he was in fine form and looking better than ever and the anouncement of his new appointment was met with overwhelming approval.
(It's also good to know there's now an extra place to crash when passing through Darwin.)
