Spangles were renamed and reintroduced after being revamped. They were revolting and removed from the market.

White dog poo is a thing of the past because dog owners are required by law (bye-laws in most places) to scoop the poop. There are also more public parks and such places where dogs are not allowed.

I haven't seen it for a while, but my local council had a bloke on a moped whose job it was to ride the streets, scooping up any stray dog poo (that's stray poo, not just poo from stray dogs).

These days the problem seems to be more of the two legged variety - the amount of 'disposable' nappies is growing. The other day I sat in my car at some traffic lights, watching a young woman change her baby at the roadside, carefully clean the child, making sure there was nothing icky left on it, then dump the whole load, nappy, wipes, the lot, on the pavement for others to slip on.
